MAXIM Cleaning & Restoration, Inc. was founded by Steve and Laura Ousley who began their married life and their professional life together in 1977. They honor their commitment to each other, their entire team, their clients, colleagues and community.
In 1977 there were only 8 to 10 carpet cleaners listed in the phone book. At one time they increased to nearly 200 companies. Now there are over 80 companies. Diversifying and offering numerous services including cleaning carpet, air ducts, area rugs, upholstery, leather furniture, tile and grout, drapery, emergency water damage restoration and mold remediation has served to separate MAXIM from the vast majority of other companies.
In 1998 after 20 years in a similar business partnership they formed MAXIM the corporation and became an IICRC Certified Firm. They and their team of professionals have also earned many individual IICRC certifications as well. IICRC stands for "Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification" which is the certification and standard setting arm of their industry. They also have training from ASCR "Association of Specialists in cleaning & Restoration".
Steve manages MAXIM's technical team while Laura focuses on her administrative staff and marketing. They succeed and you benefit because they are honest, reliable, positive and hard working. One can teach people how to do the work MAXIM does but one cannot always teach people values and ethics. All MAXIM team members are local, mature and responsible people raising families. They find it easy to commit to their clients and this community they call "home".
MAXIM is committed to its community through many affiliations, associations and organizations. Laura is currently on the board of directors for the Heating & Cooling Contractors Association. She also chairs two committees for Women's Council of Realtors. She has also served on the boards of directors for Greater Resources for Omaha Women (G.R.O.W.) and National Association for the Remodelling Industry. Laura is very active with numerous Chambers of Commerce of Omaha, Sarpy County, LaVista, and Ralston. MAXIM is an active member of MOBA "Metro Omaha Builders Association" as well.
