"I recently moved to Omaha, and I have a lot of Ethan Allen furniture that has been in storage since 1994.  This includes a sofa and love seat that needed to be cleaned professionally.  I just want you to know for the benefit of others that I was very pleased with the results.  The cleaning process was tested on a single pillow first in order to evaulate the results because of the type of fabric involved, and this was free of charge.  In the end, the wrinkles and impressions from being in storage were removed; and the sofa could actually be a shade lighter.  In other words, a cloud of dust no longer appears if you hit one of the arms of the love seat hard enough with your hand!  New life has been breathed into furniture that has been moved three times and placed in long term storage more than once since I bought it.  Of course, this also says something about the quality and durability of the furniture in the first place.  I also found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and professional.  I would highly recommend MAXIM to others."  Janet B.

"One evening I receive an unexpected phone call from my neighbor informing me of water dripping through wall facing his house. As I was out of town, I gave him the access code to my garage door opener and requested him to take a closer look. He inspected the house and indicated that the water was sprouting through the main bathroom and had been seeping down the floor for a while and everything appeared to be getting wet. With his assistance, we turned off the main water switch and stopped the gushing. Then I called for a plumber who luckily was able to come on a short notice. The plumber diagnosed that a valve to the bathroom faucet had broken and it appeared to him that the water had been leaking for at least a day or two. He then recommended that I seek help from Maxim, a local reputed company, who specialize in handling such damage situations.

I had never heard of Maxim before nor had I had ever encountered a water-damage situation before. As I was going to be out of town for at least a week, I was also not sure how I would coordinate this process about how much it would end up costing me. So I thought of contacting my insurance company (State Farm) first. State Farm also suggested that I immediately get a company that handles water damage as my first step. They recommended two companies but said I do have the option of going with any other company of my choice. So I called both of those recommended companies. I had to leave a message for one company (who called me back after 24 hours) and when I called the second company, the company rep immediately asked me for my address and said she was sending a team right away. I said I had some questions first on how the process works and how much it costs. She said that the team would be able to give me better answers once they start drying up the water. I almost felt like they were pushing me into using their service so I told her that I would call her back shortly.

Then I decided to call Maxim and ended up talking to Laura. Laura patiently listened to my situation and concerns. She then explained me step by step how water damage situations are typically handled and why a timely intervention is a key factor. She also assured me that her company has worked under the situations where the owners cannot be physically present and she can help me coordinate the entire process remotely by e-mailing me pictures and status updates and taking my consent on decisions. On my cost concerns, she informed me how the insurance claim process works for such accidental damages and that her company is able to work with most insurance company claims including State Farm.

After talking to Laura, I felt that she completely understood my situation and provided clear answers to all my questions. Her assurance that I do not need to change my plans and return to Omaha provided immediate relief. After pondering for few minutes, I called her back and asked her to proceed. It is my pleasure to say that Maxim met all their promises and I never felt out of control or unclear as to what was going on. When the insurance adjuster paid a visit, she confirmed that Maxim did a great job in controlling the water damage as there did not appear to be any mould build-up. Furthermore, Maxim had carefully sorted, packaged, and labelled the items that may have encountered any water damage and provided me appropriate pictures for review. This helped me a lot when working with the insurance adjuster in determining what items would need to be replaced. And in the end it did not cost me a single extra dime after my insurance deductible. All in all, I am greatly thankful to Laura, her husband Steve, and their entire team of qualified and hard-working personnel for helping me through this mini-disaster." G Khurana
